Protected by Pelican Island and Pelican Bay, the East End of Dauphin Island is near the mouth of Mobile Bay. Pelican Bay is home to a wayward group of mallards who make delightful neighbors. The community of Desoto Landing has a secure gated entrance, underground utilities, and is protected by Architectural guidelines, Community Covenants, and an active Homeowners' Association.
